Rescue on one of the beaches in Spain

The Spanish civil defense conducted a successful operation on Wednesday to release a bull from one of the beaches in the north of the country. A weighing nearly a ton of animal was taken by a helicopter.

An unusual rescue took place for nearly two days at Carnera beach in Gozon, in the northern part of the Asturias region.

Although the bull moved 200 m down towards the beach, the local farmer quickly called for civil protection services, but the first day - long operation to release the animal failed.

According to firemen's handlers during his first attempt, the rescue helicopter had too much trouble to get Bolero's bull out of the nadatlantic beach. The machine was too heavy and the animal was badly attached.

The second attempt made on Wednesday was a success. The helicopter, as explained by the service, was more mobile due to less fuel in the tank and the bull was better attached to the ropes.

Bolero was not the first animal released in recent years by the civil defense of Spain. Before that, helicopters had already taken a cow and a donkey trapped in mountain gorges.
