Andrzej Kuźmich is the new president of the Port of Gdańsk.

As a result of the final competition, the Gdańsk Port Supervisory Board of Operations S.A. selected Andrzej Arkadiusz Kuźmich – an experienced manager with more than 20 years of experience in the transport and logistics sector. The new president will assume his duties on November 4, 2024.

Andrzej Kuźmich is a graduate of the University of Gdańsk, where he studied management and organization at the Management Department. His education is complemented by postgraduate studies at the University of Warmia and Mazury, specializing in the organization of agribusiness.

Kuźmich's rich professional career began in the area of sales and operations, where he held key managerial positions in companies such as JAS-FBG S.A., Chemicals, Eurochem, Spedcont and POLFROST. In 2017-2018, he served as Managing Director and Board Member of West Trading, where he supervised the sale and distribution of imported coal. Then in 2019 he took up the position of President of the Management Board of ASAN Polska Sp. z o.o., dealing with the strategy of supplying and selling solid fuels in the wholesale market. Since 2023 he has been directing simultaneously the company ASEN Trade Sp. z o.o., specializing in logistics consulting and fuel supplies for the energy sector.

Port Gdański Operation S.A. is the leader of transhipments in Gdańsk port and one of the key companies belonging to the capital group of the Maritime Board of Port Gdańsk. The company has eight waterfronts in the Inner Port with a total operating length of 5 km. In 2023, Port Gdański The operation overcharged over 6 million tons of goods such as coal, coke, steel, machinery and fertilizers. The company's dynamic development is based on continuous investments in modern handling infrastructure, allowing for a systematic increase in operational capacity.

The selection of Andrzej Kuźmich as President of the Port of Gdańsk Operation S.A. is a key step in further development of the company, and its extensive management and logistics experience will certainly bring new opportunities in the development of the port as a strategic player in the market of transhipments.
