Australia will sink Adelaide. The wreck will be an attraction for divers

On 9 August, the Ministry of Defence of Australia informed that HMAS Darwin's frigate would be immersed in a tourist attraction for divers near Tasmania.

The ship, belonging to the Oliver Hazard Perry type, served in the Royal Australian Navy from 1984 to 2017. In the course of the service, it was intensified in the waters of the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean, while it had many successes in the fight against the inherent transporcation of narcotics, weapons and other contagion. At the same time, it is one of the four Australian frigates of the higher type that were demolished at Todd Pacific Shipyards in Seattle.

Currently, Oliver Hazard Perry frigates are succesfully withdrawn from service and replaced by Hobart-type rocket niches. Two last ships (HMAS Melbourne and HMAS Newcastle) are announced in Poland. However, according to the sources, HMAS Darwin was to be included in the above package, as a replacement.

Two Oliver Hazard Perry frigates are currently on the bottom near Australia, and three (HMAS Sydney) have been golden.
