Bazalt II joined the Lotos Petrobaltic fleet

The Lotos Petrobaltic Capital Group fleet expanded by another unit. The newly purchased ship Bazalt II arrived in Gdańsk from Côte d'Ivoire on 25 April this year – Lotos informed.
The press office of Lotos announced on Monday that the previous owner of Bazalt II was Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO) based in Singapore, which has more than 50 ships. With nearly 50 years of operational experience, the SPO has and operates a fleet in every major oil exploration region. Lotos Petrobaltic bought the unit on 24 March this year by his company Miliana Shipping, with the involvement of Technical Ship Management Ltd. After signing the contract, the ship changed its name from Pacific Warden to Bazalt II.
After completed inspections, floating and issuing the necessary documents on March 30th, the unit sailed from Côte d'Ivoire to Poland.
On 25 April this year, at 10 o'clock, the ship docked for the first time at the Flisak waterfront in Gdańsk. The newly purchased unit by LOTOS Petrobaltic, after short preparatory work in the company's base, will enter regular service for operation of drilling platforms in the Polish economic zone of the Baltic Sea.
LOTOS Petrobaltic message
We are rejuvenating our fleet, but this also involves expanding the scope of the company's activity in the field of maritime logistics and investments in offshore wind energy. The newly purchased unit is intended to replace our brave, but already used serviceman Bazalt. May it serve our company and employees well, and above all, it swims safely.
President of LOTOS Petrobaltic Grzegorz Strzelczyk
