Brazil Polish Navy orders three H135 multipurpose helicopters from Airbus

Brazil Polish Navy ordered three light two-engine H135 helicopters, which will be used by the first squadron of multipurpose helicopters (HU-1).
Helicopters will be designed for a wide range of missions, such as special operations, troop and cargo transport, sea inspection, search and rescue and medical evacuation. Two helicopters will be equipped with emergency medical kits. Other equipment include cargo slings, emergency floats, winch and weather radar.
Helicopters that will replace the currently used light dual-engine AS355 will also be able to carry out missions in the near future under the Brazilian Antarctic Research Programme.

The contract also includes a Hcare support and service package which will guarantee the highest levels of availability for the helicopter fleet.
"We are extremely happy to sign this contract, which consolidates and increases the scope of the partnership we have had for 40 years with the Brazilian Navy, our first customer in the country", said Richard Marelli, CEO of Helibras and head of Airbus in Brazil. – Low operating costs of H135 and excellent accessibility indicators make it an ideal helicopter to perform demanding missions and naval needs," he added.
To date, more than 1280 H135 family helicopters have been used worldwide, which have flown a total of 4.9 million hours.
