Cerberus is going to Ukraine, or sonars Atlas Electronics for landing Centaurs

Trials of the first pair of landing and storm boats of project 58503 Kientawr-LK for the Wijskowo-Morskie Solny U Krajina are ongoing. Recently, it turned out that DCZK-01 and DCZK-02 will receive sonars to detect underwater diversions of production of the British branch of the German Atlas Elektronik company.
Two landing and assault boats of project 58503 Kientawr-LK (pol. centaur) built the Zawod Kuznia shipyard on Ribalskom in Kiev. They were launched on 14 and 18 September this year. Since then, their shipbuilding trials have continued, and after both units were conducted to Odessa in November, sea tests began. Centaura's idea is based on Swedish and Russian solutions – Stridsbåt 90 and project 03160 Raptor, and, like the originals, it is designed to quickly shift groups of special forces, reconnaissance, mincing and combating force living in coastal areas. The Ukrainian cutter is at the same time larger, so it can take more soldiers aboard and carry heavier weapons. We managed to keep almost identical small dive hull, suitable for river and lithoral operations. They are to operate on the Black and Azov seas.

It is the second type of small combat units developed and built in Ukraine to rebuild the military fleet there destroyed by years of underinvestment and Russian annexation of Crimea. The first were small artillery armored boats designed by 58155 Gjurza-M (pol. viper) which were created for the time being six. On November 25, two of the latter were attacked in the Kerchen Strait as they sailed in a convoy from the Black Sea to Azowski, after which they were intercepted by Russian forces.
The threat from the Russian special forces is treated sufficiently seriously by Ukrainians that they decided to equip their Centaurs with sonars to detect underwater diversions. The device of this class – Tronka-MK – was developed by the Kiev Institute of Scientific and Research Hydroacoustics. The Jedak was surprising to learn from the deputy director of Kuznia at Ribalskom that the Cerberus system of Atlas Elektronik UK Ltd was selected. In his opinion, Tronka did not meet expectations, although "on paper" does not give up on Cerberus, but his last year tests in Ukraine were appreciated by the Ukrainians, and hence this decision.

Cerberus is a proven, portable system for acoustic detection of divers moving independently, or with the help of underwater transport vehicles (Swimmer Delivery Vehicles) and generally unmanned submarines of all uses. It is characterized by a small mass – the transducer weighs only 25 kg and can be launched manually. In addition to it, the system creates a cabolin, signal computer and laptop with software on which the searched area is pictured and potential targets. Sonar operates circularly and can detect a diver with a breathing apparatus with an open circuit at a distance of 900 m, follow it from 850 m, and a diver with a closed circuit apparatus Cerberus will track it from 700 m. The converter sends signals from 70 to 130 kHz and can detect up to 2000 objects, but the image on the laptop allows simultaneous display of data of up to 50, considered the most suspicious. The device works to a depth of 50 m.
