China has published maps of Japan-controlled disputed islands

The Chinese Ministry has published topographic maps of Japan-controlled islands to which Beijing claims itself. Meanwhile, the government in Tokyo reported the invasion of Chinese Coast Guard ships into Japan's territorial waters," Japanese media reported on Tuesday.
Beijing and Tokyo have been arguing for years over deserted islands in the East China Sea, which the Japanese call Senkaku, and the Chinese call Diaoyu.
The Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources has published topographic maps of the islands on its website, which, according to Japanese media, is likely to help build a propaganda message according to which islands belong to the PRC.
The government of Japan protested against this by diplomatic channels," Japan News reported on Tuesday.
The Japanese authorities also reported that four Coast Guard ships had entered Japanese territorial waters near the Senkaku Islands on Sunday morning. It was the first Chinese units to invade these waters since 13 April.
On one of the boats a "gunlike object" was observed, Japan News reported.
The Japanese Ministry of Defence accused China last year that during the Covid-19 pandemic they were pushing their territorial claims and trying, among others, to "change the status quo in the East China Sea". In its annual report, the ministry pointed out the "continuous intrusions" of Chinese individuals into the waters surrounding the disputed islands.
