Chipolbrok picked up another unit of 

18.02.2022, held at Chengxi Shipyard Co. shipyard. Ltd. name-giving ceremony and handover to the shipowner, Chipolbrok S.A., China-Polish Shipbuilding Society, ship with construction number CX0697. The unit received the name m/v HERBERT. The godmother was Monika Walkusz – Wiechna.

In the ceremony representatives of shipyards, shipowners, classification societies supervising construction in the dual class system – PRS and DnV and representatives of Polish authorities, Consul of the Republic of Poland in Shanghai, Mr Marek Ciesielczuk and his wife.

M/v Herbert is one of 4 heavy-lift multi-purpose units designed to carry various types of cargo, including unusual dimensions, built in the Chinese shipyard for Chipolbrok and one of two supervised by the Polish Ship Register together with DnV. The PRS issued a temporary class certificate and machine certificate to the unit.

During the maiden voyage, Captain Krzysztof Troch will be in command.
