The Croatian shipyard Brodosplit has begun building Omiš-type serial patrols

The new patrol ships will be built in two stations, at the same time allowing to maintain the previously announced delivery schedule. Serial patrols are created taking into account the experience of the operation of the prototype unit. Their construction is an important element in strengthening both the armed forces and supporting their own shipbuilding industry. For a fleet of 5 missile boats and 5 coast patrolmen, the incarnation of 4 new units will be a strengthening difficult to overestimate. Furthermore, Croatia is interested in introducing larger multi-purpose vessels such as corvettes into service. The country has therefore joined the European Patrol Corvette (EPC) programme for the time being as an observer.
