Future frigate MEASURANT with new C-Guard launcher set

PGZ Stocznia Wojenna concluded an agreement with Danish company Terma A/S on the delivery of a set of C-Guard launchers for future frigate Swordfish. The implementation of this set aims to strengthen the defence capacity of these units by ensuring effective protection against sea threats.
The C-Guard launcher kit offers a full 360-degree defense of the ship, an effective barrier against guided missiles in the radio-location system or infrared. It operates on the basis of NATO-compliant virtual targets technology, and its static launcher design does not require costly maintenance, while ensuring high operational readiness.
Details of specific launcher models purchased for frigate MEASURANT not made public. However, it is speculated that the choice may have fallen on Mk 137 models, used on Danish frigates of type Iver Huitfeldt. These units, inspired by the Swordfish Project, are equipped with eight Mk 137 launchers at each end of the ship, providing comprehensive protection.
The set consists of elements such as the control unit located in the Combat Information Centre, the shooting control computer, the launcher interface and the ammunition identification system. The entire C-Guard launcher set can be easily integrated into any combat management system through a standard network connection. In the context of the frigate MEASURANT, the launcher set will cooperate with the Combat Management System Thales TACTICOS, whose task will be to assist operators in making decisions critical of the mission.
