GAZ-SYSTEM: Polish section of Baltic Pipe offshore pipeline soon with a set of permits

The administrative procedure for the offshore pipeline has been divided into two parts:

• gas pipeline at the bottom of the sea in the Polish zone of 56 km long,
• a land section of the offshore pipeline about 90 m long along with the dam unit Niechorze – Pogorzelica.

The passage of the offshore pipeline to land will be conducted by microtuneling. This excavated technology consists of the construction of a concrete housing in which a sub-sea gas pipeline and accompanying infrastructure will be placed. Thanks to this method, the cliffs and dunes on the Polish coast will remain intact and interference in the beach will be limited to a minimum.

In March this year, the West Pomeranian Voivodeship also initiated proceedings for the so-called inland section of the offshore pipeline. It assumes the construction of a "spool" together with a dam team. This section of the pipeline will end in the dam assembly chamber, where it will be connected to the land-based part of the investment. The location is provided in the area of Pogorzelica (Rewal municipality).

The receipt of a set of construction permits for the undersea section and the so-called connector is planned for the second quarter of this year. Parallel
GAZ-SYSTEM conducts the procedure of selecting the contractor of construction and assembly works. As a result, work on the construction of the offshore pipeline will be possible this year.

The basis for the decision of the construction permit is the Act
about investments in the Regazifiction Terminal of liquefied natural gas in Świnoujście (the so-called specialty).
