STRABAG Group with contract in Gdańsk. In January, the expansion of the Olive Coast will begin.

The consortium of companies from the STRABAG Group, the leader of which is Strabag Sp. z o.o., signed with the Management Board of the Maritime Port of Gdańsk S.A. for a comprehensive expansion of the Oliwa Coast. Construction works will begin in January 2019. Under the new contract will be rebuilt and expanded quay ports over a kilometer long.

Rebuilt quay It will be divided into four stages where work will be carried out. The biggest challenge will be to carry out work on the section of the active wharf, which is in stage 3 and in part stage 2 in which ships are transhipped. The creation of a detailed implementation schedule and its ongoing adjustments will be crucial in this case, taking into account the needs of coastal users.

Some sections of the waterfront will be rebuilt for the fourth time since its inception. Therefore, the actual state of the existing structures in relation to the design assumptions will be one of the biggest challenges.

In total, in the so-called "highest building" on the contract there will be a 150-person team composed of employees with a lot of experience in the implementation of such projects. In the implementation of hydrotechnical work, specialist floating equipment belonging to STRABAG, including cranes and torches set on pontoons, transport pontoons with carrying capacity up to 500 T and tugs will be used. After redevelopment Quay Olive will be more functional, which will also translate into the possibility of handling more types of ships. Modernisation and reconstruction of the wharf will also increase capacity and safety levels for maneuvering and mooring units.

The agreement signed with the Board of Maritime Port in Gdańsk is the fourth contract in the hydrotechnical construction area, signed by STRABAG since October 2018.

On 20 December 2018, a contract was concluded for the reconstruction of the Italian Coast in Gdynia Port worth over PLN 17.61 million gross. The scope of the work includes the construction of a new underwater wharf structure and reinforced concrete trailer structure for a total length of 185 m. ( 125 m) Quay Italian, 30 m Quay XXX Fly and 30 m Quay Albanian). Quay will be equipped with new pick-up devices and partly new mooring poles.

22 listopada 2018 r. podpisany został kontrakt o wartości ponad 16,5 mln zł brutto na przebudowę Nabrzeża Słowackiego w Porcie Gdynia. Zakres prac obejmuje wykonanie nowej konstrukcji podwodnej kotwionej dodatkowo kotwami gruntowymi oraz żelbetowej konstrukcji oczepu. Długość przebudowywanego odcinka wynosi 200 m ( 186 m Nabrzeże Słowackie i 14,06 m kontynuacja Nabrzeża Węgierskiego ). Nabrzeże zostanie wyposażone w ujednolicony system urządzeń odbojowych oraz nowe polery cumownicze.

4 października 2018 r. podpisano umowę na modernizację nabrzeża Holenderskiego w Porcie Gdynia. Kontrakt o wartości 3,7 mln PLN brutto obejmuje prace polegające na remoncie linii odbojowej na 400 m nabrzeża oraz wymianę urządzeń odbojowych.
