Gryfia has financing agreements with BGK and ARP

Gryfia Maritime Shiprepair Yard concluded with Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego and the Agency for Development Industry long-term contracts implemented by the yard.
"The launch of the financing line will improve the implementation of these contracts, and will positively affect the remaining aspects of the company's operational activities," wrote Gryfia press release. The yard did not give the value of the funding obtained.
Paweł Brzezicki, President of the Fund for the Development of Companies, the majority shareholder of Gryfia, as quoted by Radio Szczecin, reported that the Marine Repair Shipyard Gryfia received a commercial loan for the renovation and construction of two ships.
The funding is intended to allow the reconstruction of the Navy's warship ORP Lublin and the construction of two icebreakers. ORP Lublin is a transport-miner ship; icebreakers are to go to Gdańsk and swim on the Vistula.
"Financing, which will enable the execution of two contracts in full: one contract is the renovation of the Navy vessel Lublin, the other is the construction of two icebreakers for Polish Waters," said Paweł Brzezicki.
"This is a success for Gryfia, the loan was preceded by a financial certificate. This is a great success, because it breaks the barrier of doubt about the possibilities of the Gryfia shipyard, and secondly starts there, let's say colloquially, something spins. The shipyard is gaining momentum," adds Paweł Brzezicki.
ORP Lublin is part of the 2nd Division of Transport and Mine Ships in Świnoujście, belonging to the 8th Coast Defence Fleet. The ship is designed for the transport of landing troops with equipment and vehicles, the setting of sea mines (one-time takes 130 min) and evacuation of people.
Gryfia Marine Shiprepair Yard was created by the merger of two West Pomeranian plants which have been operating as one company since September 2013.
The yard has two production plants in Szczecin and Świnoujście. The beginning of the yard’s operations in Szczecin dates back to the early 1950s. No less rich experience has been established in Świnoujście, which has been active since 1968.
The yard offers services in the field of renovation, reconstruction and construction of new units. Performs emergency repairs and class inspections of ships. For over 15 years it has also been a manufacturer of offshore steel structures.
