LPD landing ship for the Indonesian shipbuilding industry [Video]

Indonesian shipyard PT PAL, shortly after she obtained a contract to build another pair of landing ships LPD type Tarlac, she was yet another success in this segment of the arms market.
The agreement concerning the sale of the landing ship-doku (LPD), signed on 1 July 2022, was part of a total of six agreements between Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates signed during the visit of Indonesian President Joko Widodo to Abu Dhabi.
PT PAL offered its LPD project, the UAE Ministry of Defence in 2020 in response to a Request for Information issued to several international shipyards. The selected project is a 163-metre LPD variant from PT PAL, which is longer than the variant ordered by the Philippines in June 2022 and is closer to the project offered by PT PAL to meet the requirements of the Malaysian Royal Malaysian Navy’s Multi-Role Support Ship (MRSS).
The new Emirate landing craft is to have a buoyancy of about 12 500 tons, 24 m wide, dive 6 m, will be able to reach a maximum speed of 18 knots and its economic speed It'll be 15 knots. An additional length will result in a longer landing ground for 3 medium helicopters and a hangar large enough to accommodate 2 medium helicopters. The ship is to have configurable recesses for useful loads, and an automated launching and recovery system for Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIB) and landing boats.
The unit's armament may consist of various weapons systems, e.g. 76 mm cannon, 20-30 mm remotely controlled artillery stations or missile anti-missile systems, large caliber machine guns and others.
