Two more gas transports for PGNiG

On 29 November, at the Świnoujście terminal, he made his debut with the supply of gas to a methane tanker. Mr Europe. Another gas tanker Knisis entered port 6 days later – 5 December. Both delivered LNG cargo from the US.

Built at the Chinese shipyard Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group Co., Mr Europe, belongs to the standard size of gas carriers typical of most shipowners and terminals, which is 174 400 m3. This ship has remained built in 2018 as the third unit of a series of four gas turbines for the Teekay LNG operator (although holding a 20% share in the ship). The owner of the unit is a group, consisting in addition to the mentioned operator, of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), BW Group, China LNG Shipping, Cosco Shipping and China Merchants. The other ships of this series are Mr. Asia, Mr. America and Mr. Africa. The primary purpose of all four gas carriers is to maintain China's gas connection to Australia. The ship is registered under the flag of Hong Kong. The visit to Poland is unique because it is the first gas tanker built in China served by the Polish terminal. So far, most of the 62 units unloaded in Świnoujście came from South Korean shipyards, and few from Japanese (3 ships) and only one European one built in Spain. Mr Europe is 290 m long, 47 m wide and dive 11.5 m. Its load capacity is 88 438 DWT, gross capacity 114 996 units, net capacity is 34 498 units.

Knisis flies the flag of Liberia, its home port is Monrovia, owner of Danae Gas Shipping Inc., the operator is the British "K" Line LNG Shipping.
