Democratic Congressman: President Biden made a mistake on Nord Stream 2

The congressman was in a delegation of the House of Representatives who visited Ukraine on the weekend and appealed for additional arms supplies to Kiev.

Previously, Galle and 21 congressmen from both parties published an open letter to President Biden, in which they called for sanctions against Nord Stream 2 and called on the President to immediately deliver arms to Ukraine, including drones, Stinger missiles, Javelin anti-tank missiles and anti-ship missiles.

So far, Biden's administration has resisted such actions. Additional sanctions against NS2 were removed from the draft Defence Budget Act for 2022 as a result of administrative pressure, and according to NBC television, the White House also halts deliveries to Ukraine prepared in recent weeks of a $200 million extra arms package to avoid disrupting the "diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict". At the same time, the administration is to prepare a much larger package to be sent in the event of a Russian invasion.
