MBDA will provide Sweden with CAMM anti-aircraft missiles

MBDA, a leading manufacturer of missile systems, confirms the acquisition of a contract in Sweden to supply advanced CAMM (Common Anti-air Modular Missiles) anti-air missiles. This contract represents a further step in developing cooperation between MBDA and Swedish armed forces.

The agreement with the FMV (Försvarets materielverk) strengthens MBDA's position as a key provider of defence systems for Europe. CAMM rockets and Sea Ceptor system, designed for five Visby-type Swedish Royal Navy Corvettes, are an example of state-of-the-art air defense technology.

Sea Ceptor is an advanced marine defense system offering comprehensive 360° protection against various air threats. This system was designed to counter attacks from different directions, including supersonic anti-ship missiles and impact helicopters.

Sea Ceptor, using CAMM missile technology, offers advanced integration possibilities with existing radar systems of ships. With this solution, ships are able to effectively upgrade their defense systems, thus avoiding costly and time-consuming infrastructure upgrades.

Sweden joins the list of countries that chose CAMM missile systems, including Poland, the UK, Italy, Canada, Brazil. This decision demonstrates global confidence in MBDA technology and confirms its growing role internationally.
