Marine Rocket Unit at SPRING STORM 2021

A separate division of the Marine Rocket Unit will participate in the international training of Mr SPRING STORM 2021. The maneuvers will take place at the turn of May and June at the training ground in Estonia. For the youngest unit of the Polish Navy it will be another allied exercise outside the country this year.
Approximately 7,000 soldiers from Estonia, Denmark, France, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Great Britain and the United States will participate in the international training of SPRING STORM 2021. The Polish Navy will be represented by a combat module from the Marine Rocket Unit (3rd Fleet Ships) and transport and mine ships OORP Kraków and Poznań from the 8th Coast Defence Fleet.
Participation of sea units of type of Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland In the exercise, it will improve skills in loading, unloading and moving military equipment, as well as gaining new experience in the possibility of using existing forces and fire resources in cooperation with allied forces. It will also allow the capability of rapid deployment and combat operations to be checked by the dedicated Marine Rocket Unit forces in the designated area. Additionally, soldiers will improve their knowledge of procedures for exchanging combat information with other participants in the exercise.
SPRING STORM exercise It has been held periodically by the Armed Forces of Estonia since 2003. Alliance troops have been participating in it since 2007. This year's edition of the exercise will take place in north-eastern Estonia and on the island of Hiuma.
Marine Rocket Unit is a key element in supporting the activities of the vessel forces on which the main burden of maritime operations lies. In combat conditions MJR He can operate practically all over the coast. Large operational capabilities of the MJR, linked to high mobility and fire potential, play a significant role in ensuring the safety of their own naval forces in the Baltic Sea. The main impact force of the MJR is a guided NSM (Naval Strike Missile) missile.
