MQ-35 V-BAT wspiera US Coast Guard w przechwytywaniu łodzi przemytników

Na wschodnim Pacyfiku nowym sprzymierzeńcem US Coast Guard w walce z przemytem narkotyków stał się dron MQ-35 V-BAT. Wzbija się pionowo z ciasnego pokładu dużych kutrów Straży Przybrzeżnej USA i przejmuje rolę ich „oczu” nad oceanem.
Działania MQ-35 V-BAT na morzu i wyniki operacyjne
V-BAT przez wiele godzin prowadzi obserwację na morzu i na bieżąco przekazuje obraz do ośrodków dowodzenia. Dzięki temu załoga okrętu może z dużej odległości śledzić podejrzane łodzie i naprowadzać śmigłowiec lub zespół abordażowy na ich pozycję.

System jest już wykorzystywany na wschodnim Pacyfiku, gdzie wspiera działania Joint Interagency Task Force–South. Według oficjalnych komunikatów amerykańskich służb dron odegrał istotną rolę w serii przechwyceń, w tym na pokładzie USCGC Stone, który w ostatniej operacji zabezpieczył rekordową ilość kokainy przewożonej przez łodzie karteli.
V-BAT wyróżnia się prostą obsługą, małymi wymaganiami, jeśli chodzi o przestrzeń na pokładzie, oraz długotrwałością lotu przekraczającą 10 godzin. Dzięki temu dron pozwala na stały dozór akwenów podczas jednego patrolu, co w praktyce zwiększa możliwości operacyjne US Coast Guard bez potrzeby angażowania większych okrętów wojennych.

Faster completion of dock work
Transmission of the ORP Team before the timetable, it confirms the efficient organisation of the repair process and the effective coordination of the work carried out in the PGZ of the Shipyard. The completion of the docking medium repair allows the unit to quickly return to the performance of tasks within the framework of mine forces of the Polish Navy.

ORP The team remains one of the key ships of the 12th Volinian trawler squadron. The unit has an established position in the mine hazard control system. From 2017 to 2019 she underwent a comprehensive modernization of the gym. She was then retrofitted with submarines Ukwiał and Silly. This stage of development enabled her to participate in the NATO SNMCMG-1 Permanent Defence Force Team.
Scope of repairs made medium
The current repair included comprehensive hull maintenance and a thorough repair of the propulsion system. MTU engines and power generating units were reviewed with software updates. The trawl system and mine equipment have been upgraded. The ship was retrofitted with a VSAT marine satellite terminal and a workboat designed to operate a submarine. The scope of the work also covered the comprehensive repair of accommodation spaces and systems responsible for crew living conditions.
Efficient implementation of the project
Karol Denc, director of the ORP repair project stressed Team in the PGZ of the Naval Shipyard, the transfer of the ship before the deadline is a result of efficient organization of works and full involvement of the project team. Complete repair allowed to quickly restore the ship to full goperational openness.
