Vice-Admiral Piotr Franciszek Kołodziejczyk left for the eternal watch

Since 1990 he has been Minister of National Defence in the Governments and Tadeusz Mazowiecki in Jan Krzysztof Bielecki. Piotr Kołodziejczyk held the position of national defence minister again from 1993 to 1994 in the Waldemar Pawlak Government. From 1956 to 1960, he was a listener at the Board Division of the Higher School of the Navy in Gdynia, after which he was awarded the rank of lieutenant of the Navy and the professional title of navigator engineer. After receiving the officer's promotion, he began his service on torpedo boats of project 183 in the 3rd Torpedo Cougar Brigade in Gdynia. He sailed successively in the OORP KT-83 crews, KT-87 and as a ship commander on ORP KT-88. Then, in 1962, he was transferred to 205 torpedo boats. He was commander of the Missile-Artillery Division at ORP "HEL" and deputy commander of the ship and commander of the ship at ORP "ELBLĄG". From 1973 to 1977, he worked at the Naval Staff in Gdynia as assistant department chief, deputy branch chief and branch head in the Reconnaissance Division. From 1977 to 1978 he commanded a separate group of Polish Military Special Unit of the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces at Golan Hills. In 1980, he became commander of the 3rd Fleet Ship named Commander Bolesław Romanowski in Gdynia, and in 1983 Chief of Staff – I Deputy Commander of the Navy. From 1986 to 1989, he was Naval Commander. At the end of 1989, he assumed the position of Head of the Main Board of Education of the Polish Army. In 1984, he was appointed Rear Admiral and in 1989, Vice Admiral. From 1989 to 1991 he held the mandate of a Member of the Sejm.
