The initial capacity of the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline will be 3 billion m3, maybe more, and the entire capacity will be available by the end of 2022, provided government representative for strategic energy infrastructure Piotr Naimski.

"On October 1, 2022, the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline will launch with a capacity of 3 billion m3 of gas, perhaps larger, but by the end of 2022 the entire capacity will be available," said Naimski at the European Economic Congress in Katowice.

As he assured, there are no threats to the time of the pipeline launch, and the sub-sea section is already completed in 90-proc.

"At the same time, the construction of a new gas transmission system in Poland is being completed, with nearly 2,000 km of new high-pressure pipelines, all of which will also be completed in 2022" - added Naimski.
