Nava invites you to concerts for Shipyard Day

The Gdańsk engineering office of Nava decided to celebrate Shipyard Day by organizing a new music festival. On Saturday, June 29, during "N-Day", Evorevo, Shame!, Daniel Spielniak and The Shipyard will play.

"We will unswitch our shipyard together," say Nava Ship Design Office employees.

"When we look at the surrounding areas, we want to say: artist and engineer in one steel dock. We dig in projects like musicians in sounds. We work in the same area – near cranes, cranes and historical buildings. We would like to show what's in our heads and propose something new," they added.

President of Nava Michał Migalski ensures that his company is able to design everything, including the music festival.

"We are responsible for the community that surrounds us – for employees, for their families, for residents of Gdańsk and the surrounding area. We would like to spend some time with them and listen to good music," Migalski said.

The aim of the N-Day festival is to present a strong face of shipyards, engineering and industry associated with them. Contrary to what we used to say about this sector, Gdańsk shipping has a great future ahead of it – it functions today in a different way than before and is developing very quickly. This is what the organizers want to show during Shipyard Day – they want to talk about what the Shipyard is and what it can become in the future.

During the Festival they will play:

EVOREVO – three musketeers of the Polish music scene. In their work, Nujazz meets hip-hop and pop-punk.

Shame! – The rebellious Court Orchestra, which poetically tells about the end of the 1930s;

Daniel Spaliak – Polish singer, guitarist and composer, whose compositions can be heard, among others, in the popular series Ozark, available in Netflix.

The Shipyard – a tricity pearl of post-punk stage and sharp guitar sound. As they say themselves, artists of The Shipyard "powered the smell of the sea and the sound of bent port steel".

Laxminarayan Vasudevan – DJ and engineer in one person. A friend and visitor of the Navy, he came from India, but a while ago he enlisted in the "Polish Navy". Its closest species are house and minimal techno. During the N-day his set will sound in the space of the 33th Floor.

Paweł Strzelec – singer of the Alles group. As a DJ, he performs locally in the Łódź backyard. During N-day he will present himself as a Good Friend (because he lives in friendship with Nava). He says, "What are you going to play?"

Additional attractions:

Virtual Reality Space – for those fascinated by technology, for those looking for sensations and stimuli, as well as all those tired of everyday life. If you want to find out what accelerometers, gyroscopes, magnetometers are and above all have fun and take a step into another reality, then the VR platform is for you!

Art workshops for children and adults – does Godzilla live in the Baltic? Who will save Gdansk from the giant octopus? Take the ink of the squid. Come to the comic strip yard. The workshop will be conducted by Jacek Frąś – cartoonist and comic writer, drummer of the band Flowers and Scary Group. Teacher in the Soletsk community hall. Author of Balbin and Bambak.

There will be a kitchen, there will be drinks – food and food engineers will feed us: wave SurfBurger and "the best falafels in the world" and "cold parks" from Muka Bar. There's also something for the thirsty a little more powerful drinks.

The festival will be held on Saturday, June 29th in Plenera 33 at ul. Narzędzów in Gdańsk. Opening of the gates at 4:00 p.m. and beginning of concerts at 6:00 p.m.
