Around 1,600 migrants arrived in two days on the Italian island of Lampedusa, reported the media on Tuesday citing local authorities. It is noted that the current influx of migrants resembles the situation of July and August.
Starting from the north from Monday to Tuesday, 13 boats arrived from the coast of Africa.
There are almost 1,300 migrants at the island residence. After inspections and registrations, they shall be successively directed to quarantine, which they shall hold on a ship intended for this purpose, moored near the shore.
Authorities are concerned that wave Migration will continue because the conditions at sea are very good.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 27 000 migrants have arrived in Italy according to the MMA.
