The opening of the Baltic Pipe pipeline will take place on September 29.

The completion of works on the construction of the Baltic Pipe pipeline and its opening will take place on 29 September this year, informed Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Marek Grobarczyk.

„29 września nastąpi zakończenie prac i otwarcie Baltic Pipe. Trwają prace związane z przygotowaniem przede wszystkim tłoczni, które mają za zadanie dostarczyć blisko 10 mld m3 gazu. Wraz z LNG w Świnoujściu i własnym wydobyciem daje to 100% bezpieczeństwo energetyczne” – czytamy na profilu Gróbarczyka na Twitterze.

W lipcu Gaz-System podał, że gazociąg Baltic Pipe został połączony z systemami przesyłowymi Polski i Danii. W planach jeszcze prace rozruchowe i nagazowanie, a następnie uruchomienie przesyłu 1 października br.

The Baltic Pipe project is one of the largest infrastructure investments in the country. The European Commission has granted investment as Project of Common Interest. The pipeline received financial support from the European Union under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).

According to previous announcements, Baltic Pipe's initial capacity from 1 October 2022 is expected to be approximately 2-3 billion m3 per year, while full capacity of 10 billion m3 per year is expected to be reached from the beginning of 2023.
