The presidential couple made wishes to the soldiers on missions

The commanders presented information on the situation of, among others, the coronavirus pandemic in the areas where PKW soldiers are stationed.

The interview was also attended by the head of MON Mariusz Błaszczak, the operational commander of the General of Arms Tomasz Piotrowski and the field bishop of the WP gen. brig. Tadeusz Guzdek.

"The President wanted to get acquainted with the current activity of the Polish military quotas, and also give wishes to soldiers who would spend Easter holidays away from their families," said the Head of BBN Paweł Soloch.

President Andrzej Duda visited Polish soldiers stationed abroad at least once a year, including soldiers on missions in Kuwait, Afghanistan, Latvia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sicily. "The purpose of the visits was to celebrate the holidays together, but also to show the importance that President Andrzej Duda attaches to the participation of Polish soldiers in military missions," said Paweł Soloch.

"For understandable reasons this year, such a meeting could not take place, hence the President's will to talk to all the contingents in the form of videoconferencing. During the nearly two-hour discussion, quota commanders reported to the president on the current tasks and security situation in the stationing regions," the head of the BBN said.

"The First Lady was particularly interested in security measures and in the supply of protective materials, which have quotas in case of coronavirus threat. According to the information provided by the commanders, the situation is now fully under control and there are no shortcomings in the equipment," he said.

"At the end of the meeting, the Presidential Couple and the Minister of National Defence gave their Christmas wishes and thanks for their service to all soldiers on missions," Minister Soloch added.
