Sopot – pier without tickets

In autumn, the simplest thing in Sopot comes back: a walk "at the end of the boards", no queues and tourist bustle. From 1 October the entrance to the pier is free of charge, so you can look at it at any time – even at dawn, when the sky above the Gulf of Gdańsk is the color of grey pearl. From the end of the pier you can see the yacht port, and in good weather also Gdynia. Autumn air is clear and full of wood smell that dries after rain.

It is also worth a look at the nearby North Park – the avenue leading just off the shore you will reach the border with Gdynia Orłowo. On the way there are historic villas and hotels, which at this time of year are silent, but still smell of the sea, a little memory and history floating in the air. You can go down to the beach where some of them also work in the fall.

Gdynia Orłowo – cliff and forest

The path in the reserve of Kępa Redłowska leads along a beech forest and ends on a cliff, which in autumn light resembles a landscape from the south of Europe. It is one of the most picturesque places in Tricity – ideal for a quiet walk in silence, away from the urban hustle. It's worth it. At the Orlovian pier and climb up the forest trail red. On the way you can only hear the sea, rustling leaves and your own thoughts.

For more active ones, it will be a good idea to extend the route up to Polanka Redłowska – from the viewpoints the panorama of the war port in Gdynia and the narrow streak of Helu on the horizon extends from here. This is a protected area of about 120 hectares, so you should stick to the designated paths and avoid approaching the edge of the cliff. In return, you get a view that stays in your memory for a long time.

Kołobrzeg – lighthouse and port after season

In autumn, Kołobrzeg slows down, regains the rhythm of the inhabitants. The lighthouse is open from 10:00 to 18:00 – from the gallery you can look at the port falling asleep in the soft light of the afternoon. At the bottom it is worth walking along the breakwater, sit on the stones and let yourself be embraced by the calm breath of the sea. Cold does not discourage – on the contrary, it cleans.

After leaving the lighthouse, it's worth a look at the fishing port – in October, only boats dock here, which end their season. There are several frying rooms next door, serving fresh cod and flounder. A walk from the port towards Stefan Żeromski Park is also a pleasant route – trees are noisy, and in the air there is a smell of iodine and wood from fireplaces.

Slovak National Park – Łącka Dune

From Rąbka to Wydma £ącka is about five kilometres one way. Along the way, a pine forest, then a wide measure and finally a view of the desert. These are some of the few mobile dunes in Europe – they move by several meters each year. It's best to leave in the morning or under a golden hour.

The trail is simple, but wind He can be stubborn. This is a protected area: follow the paths, do not deviate from vegetation. Tourist information and parking are seasonal – check the current messages of the park before leaving.

Rewa and Mechelinski meadows – quiet bay

The pinnacle of Rewski is the place where Puck Bay seems to drag a man into the sea. In the fall there are no kites, just the sound of waves and seagulls. A walk on the sandy "Spin" leads all the way to a place where water splits into two sides of the peninsula. It's best to come in the morning when you see a reflection of the sky in a shallow bay.

Right next to it is the Mechelinski Łąki reserve – over 113 hectares of salty areas where water and mud birds nest. It is one of the favorite places of nature photographers and lovers of walks in silence. In the autumn, there are white and river fishers, as well as coastal Santa Clauses who shine in the sun like silver. It's a space where the sea meets peace.
