Dębogórze with new tanks. PERN completed strategic investment

Three modern fuel tanks with a total capacity of 150 thousand m3 enlarged the Paliw Base storage resourcesNo 21In Dębogórz. It is the largest facility of this type in Poland, and the investment significantly strengthens the country's energy security.

PERN completed the expansion of the storage infrastructure in Dębogórz, putting into service three modern liquid fuel storage tanks. The investment worth nearly PLN 150 million increased the total storage capacity of the Base to over 500 thousand m3.

The largest fuel base in Poland in Dębogórz

Paliv Base No 21 in Dębogórz plays an increasingly important role in the national fuel logistics system. Storage infrastructure has been adapted to the growing needs of the market, and its expansion is part of a broader strategy to increase the resilience of the systemEnergy Poland.

In July the expansion of the railway tincture in Dębogórz was completed – thanks to two new rail tank loading stations the capacity of the base increased by 4000 m3 per day. The base currently serves as an important fuel distribution hub, serving both rail and maritime transport.

The new infrastructure also supports the expansion of the Liquid Fuel Transhipment Station in Gdynia. The increase in storage capacity and the expansion of the rail transport system are intended to enable the future operation of tankers with a load capacity of more than 100,000 DWT, which will significantly increase the efficiency of transhipments.

PERN investments across Poland

In addition to Dębogórze, the Company carries out further investments in the expansion of the reservoirs: two new facilities with a capacity of 33 thousand and 24 thousand m3 will be created in Koluszki, while in Kawice a reservoir of 33 thousand m3 will be planned.

PERN also modernizes railway infrastructure – a new unloading front is being created in Nowa Wielka with 21 two-sided positions and 3.5 km of tracks, and the construction of an additional track and nine unloading stations is being prepared in Koluszki.

Modern technologies and security of transmission infrastructure

In 2025, PERN purchased and implemented DRA metering devices that allow transmission capacity to be increased to 30% at lower operating pressure; they also reduce the risk of failure by up to 40%. Such solutions increase not only operational efficiency but also the level of operational safety.

The company also continues the program of reconstruction of pipelines by HDD, including sensitive sections under rivers. Recently, sections under the Żerań Canal, Notecia and Lesika Bagne were upgraded. Work is currently underway, among others, under the Government, Moldova and Vistula. The total value of this programme is approximately PLN 140 million.

Integration with NATO

A preliminary agreement was concluded in October with the NATO investment organisation. The aim is to expand the national fuel infrastructure and connect it to the Alliance pipeline system. This project is crucial for strengthening the energy and defence security of Poland.

PERN is an operator of national oil and fuel infrastructure, responsible for the transport and storage of oil and fuels.Company managesover 2500 km of transmission pipelines, 19 fuel bases and four raw materials bases.
