PGE Baltica is looking for a contractor to build an operational and service base in Ustka

PGE Baltica, responsible for the Offshore PGE Group Program, announced a tender for a general contractor of the O&M base in Ustka, which will operate offshore wind farms. The new port infrastructure is to revive the left-wing part of Ustka, giving a chance to involve national companies in the implementation of this investment.

The general contractor will be responsible for the preparation of design documentation, construction of the facilities and obtaining permissions for use. The investment includes several stages, two of which are a service and operating base and a car parking lot. Optional order may include the facilities for the construction of wind farms and the renovation of one of the port wharf.

The tender announcement is an important step in the implementation of the base, the construction of which is to start in early 2025 and to end by the end of 2026. The location of the base in Ustka was chosen due to the proximity of the planned wind farms, good navigation conditions and the city's social potential.

An operational and service base in Ustka will be built in the former fish factory "Korab", comprising an administrative building, warehouse, manoeuvring area and quay for high speed service units. Base architecture was designed with a view to harmoniously entering into the character of Ustka.

PGE Baltica plans to employ about 100 people in the base itself, and the whole project has the potential to create new jobs. Working with local companies to prepare the investment, PGE Baltica already supports the local economy.

The Offshore PGE Group programme provides for construction of Baltic's Marine Wind Farm up to 2.5 GW by 2030, implemented jointly with Orsted. After 2030 it will be joined by Baltica 1 Marine Wind Power Plant, which will allow to achieve more than 7 GW of offshore power generation by 2040.
