PGZ Stocznia Wojenna and OSI Maritime Systems strengthen cooperation

On May 26, 2023, a visit of Ambassador of Canada to Poland, Cathrine Godin, was held at the PGZ War Shipyard. This meeting was connected with the development of cooperation between the Polish and Canadian defence sector.
An example of such cooperation are the integrated navigation and tactical systems installed by PGZ War Shipyard in cooperation with the Canadian company OSI Maritime Systems on the destroyers min Kormoran II (ORP "Albatros" and ORP "Meva"). Both companies designed, built, delivered and installed integrated navigation bridge and tactical navigation systems on these ships.
Although we often hear about training Polish soldiers as part of joint NATO exercises in Canada, not everyone is aware that we are also strengthening the strength of deterrence of the Alliance in the field of sea. Our shipyard, which is part of the PGZ Group, has been working with a Canadian partner, OSI Maritime. Today's meeting with His Excellency of the Ambassador provides an excellent opportunity to summarize and strengthen and expand the existing cooperation, bearing in mind the positive effects for both parties.
Sebastian Chłałek, Chairman of the Management Board of PGZ S.A.
The visit of Ambassador Godin was also an opportunity to sign a long-term partnership agreement between the Polish shipyard and a Canadian naval solution provider. Thanks to this PGZ Stocznia Wojenna it will have even more possibilities to install, run, maintain, configure, repair, train crews and perform donation and reception tests of Integrated Tactical Navigation System systems, which is manufactured by OSI Maritime Systems and based on OSI ECPINS.
PGZ Stocznia Wojenna systematically develops its potential, not only in terms of infrastructure and technology, which will serve us to build the Swordfish frigate. Cooperation with foreign partners, such as Babcock or OSI Maritime Systems, increases our capabilities to serve ships of both the Polish Navy and allied states.
Paweł Lulewicz, President of PGZ SW
PGZ Stocznia Wojenna and OSI Maritime Systems have been cooperating since 2018 in the supply of integrated navigation and tactical systems for ships of the Polish Navy. Another area of joint action is the transfer of competence to maintain systems from a foreign producer to the national defence industry. PGZ SW is currently an authorized service partner for OSI Maritime, which allows the yard to independently service and repair OSI systems throughout their lifetime.
