Polish LNG transferred the site of the LNG expansion contractor in Świnoujście

Polish LNG donated to the contractor (PORR and TGE consortium) part of the LNG terminal in Świnoujście, for the purposes of organizing the construction facilities for the SCV Project, stated Gaz-System. The company declares that despite the coronavirus pandemic the date of implementation of the first stage of the expansion remains maintained – the planned completion date is December 2021.
‘The transfer of the contractor's site is an important stage before the start of the construction work at the terminal. According to the investment schedule for the autumn of this year, the construction of foundations for additional regazificzators (SCV) will begin," said deputy president of Polish LNG and Gaz-System Krzysztof Jackowski, quoted in the communication.
The scope of the 1st stage of the LNG Terminal Development Program in Świnoujście (Project SCV) includes the design of the installation and installation of, among others, two additional LNG regisifiers and cryogenic pumps. The investment is intended to expand the functionality and technical capacity of the facility, including in particular the achievement of a regasification capacity of 7.5 billion m3 of gas per year, explained.
The equipment was ordered by Polish LNG in October and November 2019. The selection of the SCV Project contractor and the signing of the contract with the consortium of PORR and TGE companies took place in February 2020, recalled.
