Port Ustka: almost PLN 190 million from the European Union for reconstruction

For this money, a number of investments will be made, which increase the attractiveness of the Maritime Port in Ustka. This is a huge opportunity for this port. The Usta can become the dominant fishing port, but also commercial port in the Central Coast," said the head of the Marine Ministry Marek Grobarczyk.

The contract worth nearly PLN 190 million was signed on 22 May. The investment will be implemented within the framework of the EU Operational Programme "Fisheries and the Sea".

The first stage of the conversion of Port Ustka will focus on the design and construction of a new Western breakwater along with a transhipment wharf spur damping wave and mooring wharf. In addition, the wharfs will be armed with sanitation, water abstraction points, energy grids and sewerage. The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and IWT stresses that the scope of the work involved in the implementation of the entire operation ensures complete complementarity with the existing infrastructure of the port of Usta.

The investment in Ustka Port is to be completed by 2023.
