Donald Tusk's words fell during a press conference in Skarżysko-Kamienna. The Prime Minister noted that the choice of ships would be decided without pressure and without lobbying. He pointed to the analysis of all offers and assured that there was no chance. For some – classical political insurance. For others, the signal that "something moved".

From our perspective, something else is crucial. The fact that the Prime Minister refers directly to this matter means that the game is played at a very high stake. And a choice that will show if the state can filter out the business from the interest.

The Prime Minister said that "we are approaching the final". He assured that "no external lobbying will have any influence on this". However, he did not indicate a favourite or a deadline. The need to take the position of our Prime Minister publicly shows that the subject has penetrated the cracks of official silence.I mean, one thing: lobbying works. However, this does not mean that it must work effectively.

At the same time, it is worth going back to the question that we asked earlier: are the ships involved or who will deliver them? The Prime Minister's words sound like an answer – the choice is to be substantive. The question is, who will decide what it means "in substance".

Finally, it is worth recalling that the MW of the Polish Republic already has only one inoperable ORPEagle. Each month of delay is not only a delay in modernization, but also a further weakening of the competences of the submarine Squadron itself. So it may be time to stop asking "who gives more" and start asking "who can faster and more effectively".
