President of PGE: Looking for an off-balance-sheet source of offshore finance

PGE, together with a future partner in the offshore wind energy project – Danish Oersted is already looking for funding – said PGE president Wojciech Dąbrowski. As he pointed out, the company considers that this should be an off-balance-sheet source of funding.
As Dąbrowski said in Szczecin on Wednesday, the PGE partnership agreement with Oersted in the construction of offshore wind farms should be ready, but before it is signed both companies are already working together on some issues. PGE plans to build three 3.5 GW Baltic farms by 2030.
Dąbrowski mentioned as fields of cooperation with Oersted the source of funding for offshore. This is huge money, we see it as an off-balance-sheet source for PGE, because it is important, but not the only element of the company's future strategy," the President stressed. He reminded that among other great tasks is the switching of heating to gas.
Dąbrowski estimated that there were no large discrepancies in the partnership talks with Oersted. "For our part, we do not see major problems, but there are still some important issues to clarify," he explained. As he recalled, PGE and Oersted together will not only build but also service farms.
