Officer promotion and graduation ceremony at the Gdynia Naval Academy

Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., there will be an officer promotion of the Polish Naval Academy and a graduation ceremony First degree by foreign students from Qatar and Kuwait. The ceremonies will be held aboard the historic destroyer, the ORP Lightning museum ship.
35 Polish graduates will be promoted to the first officer – a naval lieutenant.
On the other hand, 25 foreign subjects will receive an honorary cord from the Rector – Chief Commander of the Navy in memory of graduation from the Naval Academy in Gdynia.
Out of the 12 promoted substudents, they were educated at the Faculty of Navigation and Ship Defense (WNiUO), and 23 at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Affairs (WME).
The ceremony will be attended by 10 students from Qatar and 15 from Kuwait who studied at the Faculty of Navigation and Ship Defense.
Foreign subjects during their stay in the walls of the Naval Academy not only learned naval crafts, but also military discipline, foreign languages, including Polish language, and gained knowledge and practical skills.
On Thursday, August 29th, at the Naval Academy, there will be a ceremony of awarding diplomas of Polish undergraduate studies and a ceremony of awarding officer patents.
Military studies at the Naval Academy last 5 years and are held in the Bologna system, i.e. they are two-step. For the first 7 semesters, students acquire knowledge and skills to become engineers. Then the next 3 semesters are already second-cycle, or master's degree.
However, their military road begins before college, when they are incorporated into the military, they must undergo basic training, take voyage The candidate, and the culmination of this period is to pledge a military oath to the flag of the Westerplatte Naval Academy.
Podchorzyżów from the Gulf countries (Katar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia) have been educated in the Polish university since 2015. That's what seniors are graduating this year. Currently, 113 foreign subjects are educated in AMW.
The Naval Academy is a naval college that is the only one in the country to educate future Navy officers – navigators, mechanics, commanders, specialists of virtually all spheres of war art at sea.
In AMW you can study in 5 military directions (navigation, computer science, mechatronics, mechanics and mechanical engineering and information systems in safety). Currently there is still a recruitment for civil studies in the fields of navigation, computer science, mechanics and mechanical engineering, automation and robotics, mechatronics, national security, internal security, maritime security States, information systems in security, military in the public service system, naval studies, international relations and pedagogy.
