Transfer of duties to commander of the 43rd FOW Bomb Squadron

On Monday, December 6, in Rozewi, a solemn handover of duties took place as commander of the 43rd Battalion of the Marine Defense Fleet and the Władysławowo garrison.

Temporary command of the battalion was assumed by the former deputy battalion commander, Lieutenant Commander Sebastian Tesarowski. Lieutenant Commander Sebastian Sochoń will continue to serve in the 3rd Fleet of Ships in Gdynia.

The dedication ceremony was held at the unit's appeal square in the presence of Commander 3. Fleet of Rear Admiral Mirosław Jurkowlaniec, commanders of military units of the Gdynia Fleet, soldiers, RON staff and invited guests. The ceremony was framed by the Naval Representation Orchestra.

The highlight of the ceremony was a ceremony of solemn handing over the flag, which is a symbol of freedom, honor and valor, as well as a symbol of handing over command. Then kmdr Lieutenant Sebastian Sochoń submitted a report on the sentence, and kmdr Lieutenant. Sebastian Thesarowski on temporary embrace responsibilities as commander of the 43rd FOW Bomb Squadron. The celebrations were completed by the defilada of the subdivisions. Then, in the Hall of Tradition, in the presence of the commander of Gdynia Flotilla, a protocol of delegation was signed.

43rd Bombers Battalion FOW It is stationed on the Hel Peninsula in Rozewie and is part of the 3rd Fleet of Ships. The main task of the 43rd FOW Bomb Squadron is to secure the engineering operations of the 3.FO forces, including the creation of engineering dams, the detection and elimination of explosions, the maintenance of naval base infrastructure, the organization of water collection and purification points, the elimination of damage and engineering recognition of enemy forces.

Additionally, the battalion has a chemical sub-chapter designed to carry out activities that enable ship and shore teams to perform tasks under conditions of threat of contamination, the use of weapons of mass destruction and contamination by radioactive, biological and chemical agents caused by CBRN events (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) and the elimination of the effects of the use of weapons of mass destruction and natural disasters.

For the activity of the unit in 2010 43. The FOW Bomb Squadron was honored by the Minister of National Defence with the title "The Fronting Branch of the Polish Army".
