Voyage Gift of Youth – legend will surround the world for the century of independence

On May 20th, the legendary "Youth Gift" sailboat will depart from the Port of Gdynia to sail the world as part of the Independence Cruise. This date is not accidental – this year is the century of Poland's regaining independence and is connected with this anniversary planned voyage The Gift of Youth.

During the cruise, the sailing boat will visit 22 ports located in 18 countries. On the route "Daru Youth", an important point will be the celebration of World Youth Days, which will take place in January 2019 in Panama. Each stop will host events related to the promotion of the country and regain independence by Poland. The crew of "Daru Youth" will primarily be youth – winners of the competition and students of sea schools, a total of nearly 1,000 people.

Voyage This refers symbolically to the historic cruise of "Daru Pomerania", which sailed around the world from 1934 to 1935.

The organizers of the Independence Cruise are the Ministry of Maritime Economy and Inland Shipping, the Maritime Academy in Gdynia, as well as the Palloty Missionary Foundation Salvatti.pl.
