The repair of the Rybackie Coast begins

The first stage of Rybackie Pobrzeża renovation works in Gdańsk begins. On Monday, the lower wharf section was excluded from pedestrian traffic. The renovation will continue until the end of May.
"The scope of the work includes the renovation of the surface from the Stragania Gate to the Swan Bast, along with the renovation of the wharf and resistance walls," said Gdańsk officials.
On February 21, 2022, the contractor's construction site was transferred. Since 28 February 2022 there has been a complete exemption from the foot traffic of the lower section of the wharf (so-called low wharf).
According to Isabella Kozicka-Prus from the Municipal Office in Gdańsk, the foot traffic will be made available from the side of the high waterfront. After the work has been completed, quay The low will be put into pedestrian traffic, and on the high wharf there will be ongoing work related to surface repair. During the work, eight parking places at the Fish Market will be excluded – the site will be allocated to the building facilities.
The work concerns a comprehensive modernization of the surface and will begin with demolitions, followed by a new building and laying of stone plates and stone cubes. The barriers and lighting will also be renewed, a small architecture will appear.
The completion of the scope of the work from the Straganar Gate to the Swan Baszta is planned until 31 May.
