CRIST Shipyard donated a life type unit to a fish carrier

Transportation of fish and seafood from marine farms straight to the factory – this is the task of a new life fish carrier produced in the Polish shipyard CRIST. Fully equipped, the second unit of this type in the series, was transferred to the Norwegian shipowner – Arctic Group AS.
NB SC 75/2 – Life fish carrier is the second in the series and the third ever custom-built Arctic Group AS, a company specialising in the operation of fish-breeding vessels. The Norwegian company supplies its products to both business and private customers worldwide.
A ship used to transport fish and seafood from sea farms to factories on land will operate, among others, in the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean, where fishing takes place.
The main purpose of the unit is to transport live fish from fish farms to factories (further processing of fish). The ship was designed to transport live salmon, trout, cod and other species of farmed sea fish. Live fish will be stored in tanks equipped with marine water circulation, oxygen treatment system and automatic ozone decontamination system. ToCargo and youCargo fish will be carried out by vacuum method.
Thanks to the appropriate dimensions – 75 m long, 15 m wide, NB SC 75/2 is able to accommodate up to 3,000 m six. specially suited water for transporting live fish.
The hull mass is estimated at more than 1,000 tonnes. The unit will be operated by a ten-man crew.
CRIST was founded in 1990 by two friends. In 2010, it was converted into a stock company.
CRIST shipyard deals with ship building, offshore construction, steel structures, marine, land and civil engineering. As the only shipyard in Europe, it has already built three units to build and service offshore wind farms.
