Second LNG transport this month

On 19 August, a gas tanker with a supply of LNG for Polish Oil Mining and Gas Industry entered Świnoujście for the second time this month. Thus the Polish terminal served 24th this year, and a total of 137th supply of liquefied natural gas in its history.
An Al Karaana gas tank with a capacity of 211 100 m3 LNG entered the Świnouian LNG terminal, which is the only port north of Rotterdam.
Gasoline Al Karaana, which entered port on 19 August, was built in 2009 by Daewoo Shipbuilding& shipyard Marine Engineering and is registered under the flag of the Marshall Islands with its home port in Majuro. The unit is 315 m long, 50 m wide, dive 12,2 m. Maximum gas tank capacity is 211 100 m3 LNG. The vessel's registered capacity is 136,980 units and the capacity is 122,052 DWT. Al Karaana develops a maximum speed of 19 knots and a march of 15 knots. The ship's crew is only 28.
This entity should for Q-flex type built by the South Korean shipyards Hyundai, Samsung and Daewoo for the Qatari shipowner (and its subsidiaries) Al Nakilat. At about 30 LNG terminals in Europe, only about half are available for this size of LNG. Świnoujście is the only port located north of Rotterdam serving Q-Flex units. The Świnouskie terminal is the third gas port in Europe in terms of frequency of Q-Flex wraps (average 17-18 per year), after the Welsh Milford Haven (over 25 wraps) and Belgian Zeebrugge (about 25 deliveries).
August Wrapping Al Karaana to the Polish port is the 87th supply of gas from Qatar to our country. This time Poland reached about 200,000 m3 LNG (approximately 90 000 tonnes of LNG or 120 million m)3 gas after regasification). The gas was delivered as part of a long-term Qatar contract concluded by Polish Oil Mining and Gas Industry with Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Limited.
For Al Karaan it is the second stay in Poland, the first "visit" took place on 1 August 2020.
