Ship Task Force Training 8. FOW

A recent exercise in the Baltic was carried out by the Ship Task Force of the 8th Coast Defence Fleet. During the maneuvers, the Task Force perfected communication procedures, maneuvering in formation, anti-mine defense, providing assistance to the damaged unit, as well as advanced rescue exercises involving a helicopter.

Several, or actually several, last days, are a period of intense work of crews of ships and a staff leading exercises from the ORP deck of Rear Admiral X. Czernicki. I am pleased that all the tasks of the superiors have been accomplished, and time at sea has been used to raise the level of crew training and to assemble units of different types. Ships of the 8th Coast Defence Fleet regularly take part in major international exercises, so the maneuvers within the Ship Task Force allow to prepare for this type of action and practice the procedures in force.

Lieutenant Commander Bartłomiej Radwański

The essence of the Ship Task Force training is to rip and interact the separate forces from the individual squadrons of the Flotilla. Such maneuvers also serve another function. They demonstrate the presence of the Navy in the Baltic and its readiness to act, which can be considered a guarantee of safety of navigation.

Units during manoeuvres perform all possible tasks to which the Ship Task Force has been created. Both those characteristic of the ship type and the team type, where all ships, regardless of their destiny, work together.

Exercises in a team of ships allow you to constantly increase the level of training of the forces of the 8th Coast Defence Fleet, which translates into a simple line to secure the interests of the state at sea. Today, the safety of maritime transport routes depends on the stable development of the maritime economy. More and more international trade is being transported by ports.
