Medical transport as part of the "heart action"

On May 18, M28B Bryza 1TD aircraft crew successfully carried out medical transport, supporting hospitals in Gdańsk and Warsaw. This task, carried out as part of "The Heart Action", was initiated on 17 May by the Naval Air Force Headquarters Operations Service (BLMW).
M28B crew of 43. The Naval Air Base reached the air on May 18 at 8:42 from the parent airport in Gdynia Babie-Dole. The mission was to transport two transplant teams and organs for transplantation. The flight route included a flight from Gdynia to Szczecin and back, then from Gdynia to Warsaw and again to Gdynia. The mission was carried out for the University Clinical Centre in Gdańsk and the University Clinical Centre in Warsaw.

The precise landing at Gdynia Airport at 16:21 concluded this challenging undertaking. The entire operation was possible thanks to the excellent coordination and model cooperation of the BLMW with medical facilities. Joint efforts have helped to save human health and life.

This is the eighth "Action of the Heart" this year and 87th in the history of Gdynia BLMW. Since 2007, the brigade has regularly participated in medical flights, becoming an integral part of the medical rescue system in Poland.
