Vital Gdynia had a net loss of PLN 21.33 million, PLN 6.89 million EBITDA in 2021.

Vistal Gdynia recorded PLN 21.33 million of consolidated net loss attributable to shareholders of the parent company in 2021 against PLN 254.32 million of profit the year before, the company reported in the report.

Operating profit amounted to PLN 0.48 million compared to PLN 0.64 million in profit the year before. EBITDA amounted to PLN 6.89 million compared to PLN 8.67 million in 2020.

Consolidated sales revenue reached PLN 92.75 million in 2021 compared to PLN 65.52 million the year before.

On a per unit basis, the net loss in 2021 was PLN 13.19 million versus PLN 254.35 million in profit the year before.

The 2020 losses are the result of high costs: financial and agreement with creditors, as set out in the Communication.

"Vistal Gdynia has a very special period. 2020 was not only the first full year of operation after the final approval of the agreement with creditors, but also sometimes turbulence caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In recent months we have faced, among other things, difficulties and increases in production costs, resulting from the introduction of new sanitary regimes or the freezing of the economy, as well as delays in order settlements related to the administrative slowing down of tendering processes, especially in foreign markets, which significantly affected the construction of a portfolio of orders. Despite these unquestionably demanding business conditions, the company executed the provisions of the agreement, making timely repayments of receivables, and also significantly increased the scale of its operations, as evidenced by a significant increase in sales," said President Ryszard Matyka, quoted in the communication.

Vistal Gdynia hopes that in 2021 it will gradually increase the scale of its operations, generating sufficient financial resources to both service contractual obligations and to the benefit of value increases, was also given.

"We already see a growing number of tenders and tender procedures in the country and abroad. There are huge amounts of investment in infrastructure and I think the share of this sector will increase significantly this year. We look at our opportunities in the dynamically developing sector in Poland for the construction of offshore wind farms – we examine the possibilities of participation in the supply chain for offshore wind energy. We have the necessary qualifications to participate effectively in tendering procedures both in Poland and abroad," added the President.
