In Gdynia the Forum for the Vision of Development, the largest economic event in Northern Poland, ended

W Gdynia ended the second edition of the Forum Vision of Development. This largest economic event in Northern Poland took place on 24-25 June at the Naval Academy. During the Forum there were panels and meetings with over 500 experts from different fields within 16 thematic blocks.

2nd Forum The Vision of Development is a two-day project carried out under the honorary patronage of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The program included 100 debates to commemorate the century of independence.

The Forum began officially on Monday, June 24. The most important point of the program on the first day was the speech of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The Prime Minister also took part in a parallel event – celebrations of the 35th anniversary of Fighting Solidarity.

In addition to the Prime Minister of the Program, the President of the IPN Jarosław Szarek, Minister Jan Józef Kasprzyk – Head of UdsKiOR and Jarosław Sellin from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage had the speech. There were also lectures, presentations of SW crosses, film screenings and presentation of the book "They Persevered to the End" by Andrzej Michalak and Roman Zwiercan.

During the first day of the Forum, the most important topics for the Polish economy were not missing. The opening session "Investment stimulating factors" was of great interest.

"The Bank of the National Farm has been responsible for supporting socio-economic development since its inception and we are still doing this mission today. The Polish economy is accelerating, also thanks to the measures that go to entrepreneurs through our bank." – said Beata Daszyńska-Muzyczka, President of the Management Board of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, who was one of the session speakers

"There are three components that are building our opportunity for further development – the size of the home market, openness to international trade and human capital. Investments in clean fuel projects have already been made. We are considering a broader commitment to the development of alternative fuels," said Mateusz A. Bonca, President of the Lotos Group Management Board.

"When making strategic decisions, an important parameter for us is how the global economy, or macro-economics, behaves," said President of KGHM Polska Miedź Marcin Chludziński.

During the Forum much attention was also paid to energy. A lot of excitement was raised by the Forum of Partners during which PKN Orlen took over Lotos Group.

"PKN Orlen's merger with the Lotos Group will mean strengthening both companies. On a European scale, Orlen and Lotos are classified as small companies. Today, when buying oil, we are small recipients. Only after the merger with Lotos will we be a middle player. The merger will create a champion for the benefit of the entire economy" - said Daniel Obietek, President of PKN Orlen.

During the Forum there was also the official opening of Marina Yacht Park by Polish Real Estate Holding.

On Tuesday, sessions were held on: energy, national security and economic development, technology of the future, investment, transport, finance and law in the economy, agriculture, culture and art, maritime economy, responsible business, research and development, social and health programmes and affairs, and the silver economy.

Representatives of business, science and politics took part in the meetings. The program also included panels within the "Partner Forum" block. The first was organized by Energa and concerned non-financial reporting. The Industrial Development Agency has prepared a debate on leasing.

"After the second day of the 2nd Forum, we can say that panelists and moderators have added almost 100%. It's a big success. Everything that was previously included in the agenda was carried out in accordance with the adopted plan" – says Andrzej Michalak, President of the Management Board of the Foundation Vision of Development .

We wtorek odbyła się także uroczystość wręczenia nagrody CEMT 2018 za znaczące osiągnięcia techniczne (Significant Technical Achievement). Nagrodę otrzymali: Stocznia Crist i biuro projektowe StoGda.
