The National Security Council will be held at noon

In connection with the explosion of the projectile in Przewodowo, the National Security Office (BBN) is examining the existing arrangements with the commanders, heads of service and allies, reported the Head of BBN Jacek Siewara. The National Security Council will be held at noon.

On Tuesday afternoon, an explosion occurred in Przewodów (Hrubieszowski County, Lublin Voivodeship), resulting in two deaths. Russian forces led a massive attack on Ukrainian energy infrastructure at the time.

In response to this event, a meeting was convened at the National Security Office, after which government spokesman Peter Muller reported that the matter was explained by the relevant services. At the same time, it was decided to increase the readiness of some military units and to increase the combat readiness of other units. President Andrzej Duda consulted NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg.

The Foreign Ministry reported that the weapons were manufactured in Russia. Russia denied any involvement in the explosion in Poland. Also U.S. President Joe Biden said he was "little likely" that he was fired from Russia.

On the other hand, the AP, citing three U.S. officials wishing to remain anonymous, reported that according to preliminary assessments the missile was fired by Ukrainian forces towards an incoming Russian missile during the Russian forces' shelling of Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
