A vacation in the Frost. What to see over the Rega and the Baltic

The island combines a wide beach, fishing port and Rega estuary with the intimate character of the coastal village. It is a proposition for people who want to relax on the Baltic without the atmosphere of a large resort. We're looking at what's worth seeing in the Frost and how to spend a holiday here.

A frost between Rega and the Baltic

After NichoraFrom which we started this year's trip on the Polish coast, we remain in West Pomerania. About 28 kilometres further lies Mrzeżyna, whose layout is designated by Rega, port and Baltic.

In the morning you can see boats and boats by the waterfront, then holiday traffic moves to the beach, walker and breakwater area. The snow does not overwhelm the number of attractions. Its strength is the combination of a tourist base with a port character and a calmer atmosphere than in the largest seaside resorts.

You can spend the day by the water, go to voyage on the Baltic or walk along the harbor. The snow has no momentum of the wheel. It attracts people who are looking for the beach and tourist facilities, but without the atmosphere of a large resort.

Fishing port, marina and exit Regi

The port belongs to the most important points of the Frost. It lies at the mouth of Regi and still combines fishing, hiking and recreational functions. There are boats, boats and yachts here, and in the season ships take tourists on short cruises after Baltic.

Marina has seats for 40 yachts. The port also remains a small sea fishing base, equipped with a repair pool and a workshop.

For visitors, it is a place of walks and one of the main attractions of Mrzen. For the village itself remains part of everyday life, not just part of the summer tourist offer.

Beach, forest and Blue Flag

It also has what most tourists are looking for in the summer: a sandy beach and a strip of coastal forest that separates the building from the shore. The beach extends for about 3 kilometres and its width reaches about 30 metres. They lead to the passage through the forest and the dunes, while the gentle descent into the water favors family recreation.

The forest and dunes separate the beach from the building. This makes it easier to find a quieter section of the shore even during the season, especially away from the main entrances.

For the 2026 season, the GIS Swimming Service included, among others, the Mrzeżyna West swimming pool with a coastline of 100 metres. The bathing season there lasts from June 27 to August 31. According to an assessment made on 13 July 2026, the water was useful to kFaggots.

In July, the municipality of Trzebiatów also reported that Blue Flag was handed over to rescuers at the start of the summer season. The award means that the swimming pool meets the requirements of water quality, safety and leisure organisation.

This does not mean that in July and August the Frost remains empty. The top of the season is crowded, as in other popular towns on the Baltic. After leaving the main entrances to the beach or heading towards the forest, it is easier to find a quieter place.

Rega, bicycles and the other side of the holiday

The frost doesn't end on the beach. Rega is more than part of the landscape here. The river co-creates the layout of the village, escapes to the Baltic Sea in the port area and creates a space for walks, fishing and rest over the water.

Outside the beach you can walk along the port and breakwaters or take a bike trip to Pogorzelica, Dźwirzyna, Kołobrzeg or Trzebiatowa. The Mrzeżyna includes the R10 cycling route around the Baltic Sea and the Czesław Piskorski's Red Maritime Trail. On hot days they give shelter from the sun coastal forests.

The beach does not have to set the whole schedule. Port, short cruises, cycle routes and forest trails allow you to diversify your stay even when the weather does not favor beaching. The frost is not a large entertainment center, which for those looking for a quieter rest may be its advantage.

Family town, but not without history

Mrzeno has the reputation of a peaceful family centre. There are guesthouses, holiday centers, cottages and apartments. The accommodation base includes both simple guest rooms and larger facilities with recreational facilities.

However, the tourist character of the village is relatively young. In the late Middle Ages, Mrzeno functioned as a fishing village with a port, and in the late 19th century began to develop as town.

One of the local monuments is the church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul of 1912, standing at Nadmorska Street, between the building and the belt of the coastal forest.

The history of the village is also reminded by the port, older building and layout of streets leading towards Regi and the beach. They show that the nature of Mrzeżyn is not limited to the summer rest function.

Frost for a quieter holiday on the Baltic Sea

The island connects a wide beach with a fishing port, marina, Rega estuary and routes through coastal forests. In summer, the village is clearly revived, but it does not lose its port climate.

It is best to find people who do not need an extensive entertainment center. The beach can be combined with a walk along the harbour, a short cruise or a cycling trip along the coast.

Maybe during this year's vacation, you can choose a place where you don't have to rush. Where you can hear seagulls in the morning above the port, and in the evening the walk ends at Rega or on the beach. The dream shows that a real vacation often starts where the noise ends large resorts.
