According to Zbigniew Gryglas, KPO will have EUR 437 million for offshore wind energy

The National Recovery Plan plans to allocate EUR 437 million to offshore wind energy. These funds are intended to be used, among others, for the construction of the installation terminal," said Deputy Minister of State Assets Zbigniew Gryglas during the session of the Sejm Committee on Infrastructure on Wednesday.

"The development of offshore wind energy is an important element of the National Recovery Plan. The KPO foresees EUR 437 million grants for infrastructure investments in this energy area," Gryglas said.

He added that this appropriation is intended to be used, inter alia, for the construction of an installation terminal, which is the place where they will be stored and prepared for shipment to the construction site. structural elements windmills.

"We also want to use the means to develop service infrastructure, service ports with which we have very high hopes. Such ports as Ustka, Władysławowo or Łeba can be service ports," the Deputy Minister said.

Gryglas reminded that according to the Energy Policy of Poland we will have installed power on offshore wind farms in the year 2040 of about 11 gigawatts.

"The scale of investments in offshore wind energy is PLN 130 billion, it is a great project" he added.

As the Deputy Minister stressed, the first wind installations in the Baltic will be built in 2024.

Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Małgorzata Golińska, present at the committee, informed that Polish wind energy on land has been developing at a rather rapid rate recently and currently the power installed in wind energy on land is almost 6.5 gigawatt.

"In the next 2-3 years, an additional over 4 gigawatts of installed power will be created in offshore wind power installations," she added.

According to Golińska, nearly 6 power gigawatts are expected to be created on offshore wind farms by 2030.
