Launch and baptism of ORP MEWA and H-13 Przemko

On December 17, 2020, the Shipbuilding S.A. Shipbuilding S.A. Shipbuilding Shipbuilding S.A. Shipbuilding Shipbuilding S.A. Shipbuilding S.A. Shipbuilding S.A. Shipbuilding S.A. Shipbuilding S.A. Shipbuilding Shipbuilding Shipbuilding Shipbuilding S.A. was solemnly launched and christened by the Orp Mewa Min Destroyer and the H-13 Przemko tow truck. This will begin the stage of equipping units with ship equipment and systems.

ORP Mewa is the third of a series of modern mine destroyers that will serve in 13. The trawlers' squadrons are part of the 8th Coast Defense Fleet. On the other hand, the H-13 Przemko is the sixth and thus the last tug built on the order of the Polish Navy as a result of the award of the tender entitled "Technical security and rescue operations at sea.

During the baptism and launching ceremony, the President of the PRS S.A. Andrzej Madejski gave the President of Shipbuilding S.A. Shipbuilding S.A. Marcin Ryngwelski certificates of readiness to launch both units and to conduct further stages of construction and equipment.

PRS is an active participant in the construction process of both a series of tugboats and mine destroyers. The tasks are carried out through the Gdańsk site with the support of the PRS Central Supervisors, who approve and consult the project for compliance with the regulations of their classification society as well as the current requirements of the MARPOL and SOLAS conventions.

The current supervision of the design and construction of units for the naval armed forces of the PRS operates on the basis of contracts concluded under the Multiannual Plan for Technical Modernisation of the Armed Forces. Our classification company participates in the supervision of construction, technical arrangements, the installation of modern equipment and the collection of equipment and materials from domestic and foreign manufacturers.

Participation in projects for the Polish Navy allows PRS to gain valuable experience and expand our competence in the field of construction of specialized units, such as warships. We will use them in subsequent defence projects of the Polish Republic.
