Accident at the "Partner" shipyard in Szczecin

On Tuesday morning, a serious accident occurred at the site of the "Partner" shipyard on Stołczyńska Street in Szczecin during work conducted inside one of the reservoirs. An approximately 30-year-old employee was injured, who fell from the scaffolding from a few meters high.

The event took place on the premises of Stocznia Partner production plant at Stołczyńska Street in Szczecin (Skolwin) based in Police.

The accident happened. in the course of service work inside the structure of one of the tanks. According to preliminary information, an approximately 30-year-old employee slipped on the scaffolding and fell from a height of about three metres.

Quick rescue

Emergency services were immediately deployed. Several fire brigades were involved in the operations, whose task was to extract the victim from inside the reservoir.

After first aid, the paramedics found serious injuries in the man – especially pelvic and spinal injuries in the lumbar section. Due to the nature of the injuries, it was decided to call the Emergency Rescue Helicopter, which transported the injured person to the hospital. The entire rescue took about half an hour.

The circumstances of the incident are being clarified

The circumstances of the accident are now being examined by the relevant services. In such cases, the working conditions, the security of the position and the course of the event are standardized.
