West Pomeranian: male drowned in the sea in Mielno

The man who was found in the sea in Mielno was unable to be rescued – the spokesman for the Provincial Commandant of PSP Captain Tomasz Kubiak informed PAP on Sunday. There are very difficult conditions in the Baltic, red flags have been put up on the bathing sites.

Water rescuers and firefighters sought on Sunday in the sea about 40-year-old men who entered the water in Mielno and did not appear back on shore. According to the president of the WOPR of the West Pomeranian Province Apoloniusz Kurylczyk, a chain of life was also created.

There are very difficult conditions in the Baltic Sea on Sunday – strong winds wind, is high wave. Paramedics put red flags up on the baths. They also appeal not to enter water on unguarded beaches.

On Sunday, a 50-year-old man drowned on an unguarded stretch of beach in Lazy. Despite his 45-minute CPR, he couldn't be saved. His 25-year-old son survived, and he and his father entered the water.

West Pomeranian rescuers extracted a few people from the water on Sunday, who entered the sea despite very bad conditions – it was, among others, a man under the influence of alcohol, who sailed at an unguarded beach in Międzyzdroje and was unable to return to shore alone.
