Zarząd Morskich Portów Szczecin i Świnoujście SA został wyróżniony tytułem „Równa Firma”. Plebiscyt po raz ósmy z rzędu zorganizowała Fundacja Biznes Innowacje Networking Wydziału Ekonomii, Finansów i Zarządzania Uniwersytetu Szczecińskiego.
The aim of the plebiscite is to distinguish socially responsible companies that show care for employees, contractors, the community and the environment. Its organization is responsible for students and academic staff associated with the Business Innovation Foundation Networking WEFiZ US each year. The distinction is awarded by the 20-member Chapter.
The Board of Maritime Ports Szczecin and Świnoujście in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility has been active since 2009. The company supports youth sports groups, operating in schools and sports clubs, local sports clubs and associations, as well as socio-cultural events for both mass culture and residential associations and clubs. Moreover, through the cyclical organization of port blood collections ZMPSiŚ spreads this I go among eighteen-year-olds in Szczecin schools. In turn, through the educational initiative entitled "Port Days at School", knowledge about maritime management and port operation is promoted.
In doing so, the Company supports children and young people in the realization of their passions and dreams, both sports and artistic and educational.
What is worth emphasizing, the company also helps those in need, including the various social shares. On the initiative of the employees, the "Port Team" was created, which takes part in charity actions such as "March-o-Bieg", from which income is allocated to the West Pomeranian Hospice for Children and Adults.
This year, in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, the port board became heavily involved in helping hospitals. He transferred over PLN million to three institutions, i.e.: the infectious hospital at Arkonska Street and SPSK No. 1 PUM in Szczecin , as well as the Koskolinski Provincial Hospital at Tytus Chałubińskiego Street. Thanks to these measures, respirators, cardiomonitors, infusion pumps, Covid-19 detection equipment were purchased in the early stages and ambulances.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of its activities, the port company has been associated with Szczecin and the region. He's stable and one of the biggest employers. In line with economic development, ZMPSIŚ is engaged in social initiatives.
